2018 Ride for AIDS Chicago
in a few weeks I'll be participating in the 15th anniversary of Ride For AIDS Chicago, together with an outstanding group of cyclists. This year the route will take us over 230mi to Sawyer, Michigan, and we're pedaling to support TPAN and the incredible work they do saving lives and empowering those affected by HIV/AIDS and related illnesses in our community (https://www.tpan.com/about-us).
I am part of team Rapha Chicago and we need your help to raise funds and to raise awareness. The fight against HIV takes all kinds of styles and approaches, science has done a lot to provide early diagnosis and treatment that grants high quality of life for people living with HIV, now we have to make these advancements accessible to everyone and break with the stigma.
The funds raised from the Ride help provide much needed services, including individual and group counseling, HIV and hepatitis C testing, psychosocial support, education, linkage to medical care, and a host of other services to individuals living with HIV/AIDS in Chicago.
If you're able, please please please contribute to my fundraising endeavor, 100% of the money raised will go towards supporting TPAN and their mission.
Thanks a lot!!
Did You Know: $125 helps to cover:
- 5 HIV tests and the necessary Pre- and post-counseling.
Our goal for this year is to reach $600k in fundraising! Every one of those dollars goes a long way. In 2017 TPAN provided 992 Chicagoans with compassionate, individualized care and services. Imagine what your participation will help TPAN achieve for 2018. $50 alone, covers the cost of 1 two-hour session with a licensed therapist.
We all have to start somewhere!
