All the Way to $15K
I’m a numbers person. I like what numbers represent. I like when I see repetition or balance. I like the logic and planning it takes to move numbers from a negative column to a positive one. The work it takes to move numbers is an art form. It takes thought, commitment, compromise and a plan.
So this year is kind of a big deal. Over the past 7 years I have raised over $32K through 287 donations. That's a lot of tin can shaking! It all started with a $25 donation in 2011 and I haven't looked back since.
This year I have a personal goal of raising $10K $15K. I would love your help.
I’m asking each of you to commit to something big this year. Where each day you make a conscious effort to move the numbers from the negative to the positive. It can be anything that moves you. Pay it forward, volunteer, speak up, listen...you will know what that is for you.
For me, I’m focusing on the biggest year ever supporting the Ride For AIDS Chicago. This year is my 7th Ride and with the pending cuts in social services, I know this is where my focus needs to be. What is my focus exactly? Fundraising. Putting my money where my mouth is.
I've donated half of my goal and I need you to help me raise the rest! http://bit.ly/shannon2017
Let's make great things happen this year!
I'm committed... to be a catalyst for change in HIV/AIDS Community by raising vital funds for those living with or at risk for HIV while simultaneously fighting the shame and stigma associated with the disease.
